ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm Jubida, a freelance journalist specialising in feature-writing, human-interest stories, and showbiz reporting.

​

I am currently working as an editorial intern at HELLO! Magazine, producing weekly content centred around the royal family and celebrities. I have also enjoyed covering in-depth stories with famous names including Kate Ferdinand, Joe Wicks and Elizabeth Day.

​

As a young woman of Bangladeshi descent, I know what it is like to feel underrepresented in mainstream news and media. Therefore, my passion lies with telling the stories of those who feel overlooked.

I am a two-time award winner of the Nick Lewis Memorial Trust prize and Edward Mace prize for work in the field of journalism.

​

I also have skills in video and audio, producing my own news packages and editing using Adobe Premiere Pro and Audition.
